Out of the Picture explores the invisibilization of women in the history of architecture, a discipline long dominated by men.
Through the voices of architects, including Denise Scott Brown, historians, and researchers, the film investigates the cultural and institutional mechanisms that erased their contributions, while highlighting the solidarities and strategies they develop today to reclaim visibility and legitimacy. Through archives, interviews, and animated sequences, the documentary reveals how power and history determine who gains access to the frame and who remains excluded.
