PINA is a film for Pina Bausch by Wim Wenders. It is a dance film, performed by the Tanztheater Wuppertal ensemble and showcasing the unique artistry of its choreographer, who passed away in the summer of 2009.

Its images take us on a journey into the heart of a new dimension. First on the stage of this legendary ensemble, then outside the theater with the dancers, in the city of Wuppertal and its surroundings. This is the place that Pina Bausch made her home for 35 years and where she drew her creative strength.

We present an art film every month in collaboration with the International Festival of Films on Art (Le FIFA), an eclectic event that’s always appreciated.
