From March 2 to 6, 2026, the Musée will engage your senses with its family-friendly programming for school break, in the heart of Quebec City!
Seeing differently. Art through all five senses
As the exhibition Hyperrealism: This Is Not a Body continues running, we invite young and old to explore the sensory character of the human body. How do we perceive our environment? What emotions, impressions, and memories do our senses awaken?
We want to offer you a family day at the Musée that will activate your five senses. Enjoy an immersive sound experience, a body-painting workshop, an animated exhibition tour, a surprise bite, and much more!
Located on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City, the Musée is an ideal school break destination for parents looking for indoor cultural activities to inspire creativity!

Bouchée surprise (Surprise bite)
Grand Hall
Treat yourself to a surprisingly sweet bite that will awaken your senses. This special creation is the work of chef Jean-Michel Tinayre.
Upon presentation of admission ticket at the Café Québecor to-go counter. Limit one bite per person.

This free exploration area invites you to experiment with activities that stimulate the sense of touch. Mystery boxes, blind drawing, and a small materials library await!

À la manière de Passe-Partout
Available at the ticket counter from March 2, 2026
Follow in the footsteps of six works of art that inspire Passe-Partout, Passe-Carreau and Passe-Montagne in the “À la manière de Passe-Partout” series! Using a map and visual clues, find the works on display at the Musée. Then, use your smartphone to watch video clips of creative workshops that you can carry out at home.

10 challenges as a family

Explore the Pierre Lassonde Pavilion and tackle 10 challenges as a family, in order or out of order. Imagine which sculpture would be the grumpiest when waking up, or invent a zany title for a painting. This tour is an invitation to visit our exhibitions without having to keep it serious!
