The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec offers school programs which include thematic tours and visual art workshops. The tours, planned around the Musée’s collection and temporary exhibitions, are aimed at pre-schoolers and primary and secondary level students. Our educational programs are designed for college and university students and incorporate various activities around our temporary exhibitions and collections.
Hydro-Québec supports the MNBAQ’s school programs for students from pre-school to high school levels.

Preschool, Primary and Secondary level: Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
College and University: according to reserved schedule.
Tours are one to one-and-a-half hours in length, depending on the chosen theme (see the descriptions in the specialized sections). Please plan on spending 10 minutes for reception and the cloakroom.

Teachers and monitors
An invoice will be sent to you after your visit to the Musée.
Theme visits are designed for groups of 30 students (a maximum of 36 at the secondary level). The group is divided into two and led by two guides.
In the case of kindergarten groups, it is possible to receive two classes at once, for a maximum of 40 children. The group will be divided into three and led by three guides.
For the College and University, we can welcome up to 60 students, according to the chosen program.
School groups can bring their lunches and eat at the Musée. Reservations are required.
The Musée will confirm your reservation in writing approximately one month before your visit.
Cancellations and changes
It is important to advise us as soon as possible of any change or cancellation. A $45 fee will be billed if your visit to the Musée is cancelled less than 14 days before the date reserved.
