Featuring over 30 sculptures by 25 artists from around the world, Hyperrealistic Sculpture shows how sculptural representations of the human figure have evolved since the 1970s.

This exhibition includes works by leading hyperrealistic sculpture artists from around the world, including:

  • Duane Hanson
  • George Segal
  • Ron Mueck
  • Patricia Piccinini
  • Maurizio Cattelan

Québec art will also feature prominently, with pieces by several artists from the province who embody this genre.

Sculptures that confront us with our own humanity

These intriguing, strikingly realistic sculptures are among the most significant creations in contemporary sculpture. Through their works, these artists tackle universal subjects—childhood, old age, loneliness— and explore themes of simulacra, genetic manipulation, and self-awareness.

Each sculpture tells a story, challenging you and inviting you to think deeper. It’s an exhibition that certainly leaves an impression!

Organized by the Institute for Cultural Exchange in Tübingen, Germany, the exhibition has been shown at the National Gallery of Australia, the Kunsthal Rotterdam, the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, and the Musée Maillol in Paris.
