School programs

The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec offers school programs which include thematic tours and visual art workshops. The tours, planned around the Musée’s collection and temporary exhibitions, are aimed at pre-schoolers and primary and secondary level students. Our educational programs are designed for college and university students and incorporate various activities around our temporary exhibitions and collections.

COVID-19

We are really looking forward to finally welcoming you to the Museum! Everything has been done to make your museum experience as pleasant and safe as possible. Rest assured, dear teachers, that the recommended health measures will be prioritized.

To guarantee your safety and that of your students:

  • Groups of only one school at a time will be allowed access to the exhibition halls only outside of the Museum's opening hours;
  • The student to guide ratio is reduced;
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are strategically located at the entrance to the museum and workshops;
  • The creative workshop spaces have been rearranged to ensure physical distance;
  • Each student is provided with the materials required to complete his or her creative project. All the material is rigorously disinfected between each group;
  • The frequency of cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces, furniture in the creative workshops and areas of frequent passage has been increased;
  • Wearing a face cover is mandatory for people aged 10 years and older.

Hydro-Québec supports the MNBAQ’s school programs for students from pre-school to high school levels.
